I remember finding some of these chips in an antique shop
in Golconda in the early 70s. I was told they belonged to a
Robert B. Fayant who ran games in that building that was a
hotel back then. The “Humboldt Historian” ran an article in
2006 on Golconda but only mentions a Joe Fayant who owned
the Banqet Saloon and boarding house. There was no mention
of a Fayant or Golconda hotel. I usually stopped at the Z bar
which was located a short drive off I-80.
