I drove down to Hollywood Park this afternoon to see what's transpired. Players are still using the old horse-and-jockey design chips at the tables, and I didn't spot any of the new $1 chips until almost at the cashier's window. I asked about the new chips and was told, only the $1 chips were changing over, and those were being introduced slowly. I was able to buy twenty of the new chips but the cashier had to go into the back room to get them. She told me they had no $2, $5, or $25 chips of the new design and were just using the old ones. Perhaps the new design will supplant* the older ones in the Futura. So I guess everyone will have to buy an old Ford Falcon and look inside to see for yourselves!
