Interesting. I guess $1.19 will be the new normal for me. Thanks for the tip on the stamps. I prefer not to have to wait in line each time I'm going to send a chip. Just for general information purposes, I've been shipping chips first class mail for over 10 years and never had one damaged in delivery. They sometimes take forever to get to their destination, but they have never been damaged. Knock on wood. I put them in a standard first class envelope after putting them in a thin plastic sleeve, the kind use for bill currency. Then i fold a paper, packing slip around the plastic sleeve, insert the item into the envelope and seal. However, if going forward the post office needs $1.19, who am i to fight the post office bureaucracy?
Thanks for the input folks. I sometimes wonder if my post office is just extra onery.
