For the first time ever, I took a chip to the post office to mail. I had it in a standard envelope with a first class stamp. I was told by the post office that chips require additional postage as they cannot be processed through their automated equipment because the chip is hard. Therefore, I had to pay $1.19 vs $.73. Has anyone else run into this situation?
