Hi Doug,

I just did a quick search on my computer and found that in the January 1938 phone book Hotel Plaza is listed under Hotels and Resorts. It's not listed under Clubs, Cocktail Lounges, or Night Clubs. So...it's certainly possible that they had a few slot machines, but that's a very indefinite maybe or maybe not.
