Re: Sounds crazy, but could this be answer??

Speculation ... but here goes --
Plantation operated until 1993, then continued open but just updated name to Plantation STATION from 1993 to 1997, but kept using the Plantation (only) chips as before. (I was in there personally, before and after name change, and all I remember was sign change outside the building, though may have been other changes?)

Maybe they planned a chip update, but in meantime (1997) it became Rail City Casino, at same address on Victorian Ave.

Now here's the speculation --
1. Look at the 25c / $1 / $5 / $25 chip descriptions for Plantation Station -- TCR page 298. All H&C molds with note "pic train" on all but 25c.

2. Now look at the TCR page 303 listing for Rail City Casino - the ones marked 1997, the year it opened. Specifically, the 25c / $1 / $5 / $25 chips also made on H&C mold, also with note "train" on the $5 and $25. The colors and inserts on these 2 sets of 4-piece chips also seem to match, or are close.

I think the Plantation Station chips listing (page 298) are phantom (never existed) and they're actually the corresponding Rail City Casino chips on page 303. Somehow, wires were crossed in reporting the changeover. TCR and ChipGuide need fixing, IMO.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. grin
