I should also mention that the term JETON ~~~

~~~ became a 'trade neme' that was incorporated into a few French manufacturers' catalogs years ago when they wanted ro illustrate their plastic laminate, "French-style" product along with plaques which was a "style" and also a "function" (monetary value) and the untutored casino employees assumed if what they were working with resembled what the manufacturer called a jeton then it must be a jeton and not knowing the difference between one being style with value vs another without a monetary value on the facee
as in the case with American-style Roulettes in a French style... and, yes, we will find clay composition table chips and French-style jetons of which both will have a face value. Now, under Roulette, any form will be on the same page no matter what composition; clay, plastic or whatever material serving the purpose to be USED on a wheel with no value except when assigned at buy in.
Too much eye strain with Macular Degejeration. Sorry for errors.
Example. Current; ChipGuide, Playboy Roulettes.
