This observation may have been made before, but it appears that NONE of these Texas card rooms use chips made by the major licensed chip manufacturers like Angel/GPI/Paulson (H&C), ICON, GameOn/Chipco & such. The "gray area" of these operators is likely a firm "red light" for the major chip makers to get involved with for the time being.

Any exceptions to this? (I haven't looked at the entire roster of Texas card rooms.)
