I just have to say, this is where I stayed my first time in Las Vegas which was probably 1979. And I remember waiting for the buffet in 1989, and my wife went for a "free" cup of coffee, while I dropped $100 in the slot machine, while she was gone. People put down the buffet, but for whatever it was, under $10, both times, it was a good time, good old fashion, Las Vegas buffet breakfast.
The price now for the property, the land and the location, it's the last of the last, if someone wants to build their resort project on the "Strip". To make this into condos or something else would be a tragic decision, that would signal the end of the iconic Las Vegas image. Then they will fall, as housing beats entertainment. $5 billion is just an asking price, anything less is negotiable.
I sure hope someone with a vision, fills the spot with something entertainment related.
Circus Circus had it's place in history, those days are gone. Here's to the future.
