If your travel dates are flexible, adjusting them slightly can sometimes makes a big difference. Another option is to consider airports within driving distance of Nashville. For example, we live in Wichita, but when airfare is high here, we've driven to Kansas City or Oklahoma City to find better deals (before Southwest started flying here.) Of course, it’s much more convenient to land at your local airport and only have a 25-minute drive home. That said, with Nashville being such a large market, those airfares are surprisingly high.
