A few random notes from the F.U.N. show... grin

The FUN show in Orlando was mind-blowing on a number of levels, mostly I guess because of the large scale - several hundred dealers from all around the world! Primarily of course they offered coins and paper currency, but there seemed to be lots of other items available as well - tokens, buttons, badges, jewelry, platinum, gold & silver bars, antique firearms, and even the occasional casino chip, token, or silver strike.

For example, here's a matched set of very heavy dueling pistols from the 1760's...

I spent an hour or two going through various bargain bins and came up with a few interesting souvenirs... here are some $1 U.S. proof coins featuring the first seven presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, and Andrew Jackson... the Statue of Liberty is the common reverse...

At another bargain bin I found a one-ounce copper round in the form of a gigantic Lincoln penny (39 mm)...

A couple coin-collecting friends of mine flew out for the show from northern California, and very kindly brought me two newer release $1 chips I'd been needing... I do have traders of these...

And I have to say, I think Berry Sherwood did a fantastic job engaging FUN show attendees in conversation and dialogue - Barry, thanks so much for waving the casino memorabilia flag - well done!

Beautiful that F.U.N. allows Guns ...
The Guns are from the 1760s..
