Zoox, a similar autonomous/driverless car like Waymo, has been mapping the Las Vegas area. According to link below, they plan to accept public riders "Zoox Explorers" later this year ... and free at first!

I saw their cars in 2024 running around LV, including the strip, for mapping purposes.

The low (or free!) pricing for Waymo and Zoox may be a loss-leader until they can get early-adopters to switch from Uber & Lyft, etc. It may remain cheaper, since no front-seat driver to pay? Lots of technology to install and maintain though. We'll see ...
