I did not apply for funds, nor am I asking the club to reimburse me for this trip. Yes, it would be much easier if some local Florida CCA Member’s would take this on, but they apparently don’t have time or aren’t interested. There are other coin (and other collectible) shows in cities all over the country throughout the year. It would please me to no end to see members in those areas step up to share the gospel about the CCA, and maybe that will happen. This is very much a trial run with a huge attendance at a very popular 4-day show to see how many people that collect coins are interested in also collecting casino items.

John, you have set the expectation very high that we are going to get a ton of people to join the club or at least participate in our activities. If that doesn’t happen, I think it’s going to be a clear mandate that it’s not a worthwhile endeavor to continue doing them. Or at least not with great frequency or expense. On the other hand, if I do a fantastic job and we end up with anywhere between a handful to several dozen new members, you will be vindicated and be able to say “NEENER NEENER! I told you so” to all of your detractors. I promise I will do my best to get you that NEENER NEENER.
