Atlantis, Peppermill, and Grand Sierra Resort ("The GSR") seem to be the top 3 when you ask around or look at surveys. All 3 are NOT downtown, but it's a short drive or Uber/Lyft to get there. Choosing a regular hotel lets you bypass resort fees, which can add $30-$50/night to your bill.

Because I work at the GSR, I'm able to get friends & family discounts of 50% off midweek and 20% off weekends (resort fees still apply). I can get you this discount at the Sahara in Las Vegas (same owner). I just need your email address, the dates you want to stay, and which property you want to stay at. If you come to my Spring Collectibles show in May, I'm able to get you $85/nt midweek rooms with NO RESORT FEE and 20% off weekends with NO RESORT FEE. I don't know if I can get that rate outside the May 2-4 2025 timeframe. I'll shoot an email to the event sales manager to find out.
