Regarding the Viejas Enchanted Sun ship, I sailed on it once and procured the chips you show on the ChipGuide. (Sold them to Greg, then he posted.)
Drove down to San Diego one Saturday morning and boarded the ship for a 4-hour cruise to Mexico waters then returned. Gambling didn't open until we were in Mexico/International waters (not long, since sailing from Port of San Diego ). The longer term idea was to dock near Ensenada in Baja Mexico, but they had to first build a longer dock there (which never happened, to my knowledge.)
The casino had a few blackjack tables, maybe craps table, roulette table and some slots. I played, harvested chips for myself, Greg and a few others, ate at a lunch buffet, then spent the balance of time on top deck for the view. Only half capacity, or less, for passengers that day. As you noted, it only lasted for a couple of months before closing.
