Re: Casino Letter Of the Day–Harrah's Laughlin

Thanks, Keith. The screws, actually carriage bolts with cap nuts are there so the horizontal slats could be easily removed to add or adjust the decks without having to disassemble the entire frame. These frames were built by famed Colorado collector Gary Johnson. Gary was a dear friend, (a true mentor to me in this crazy hobby) and sadly after he passed his home, "The Colorado Casino Museum" and its contents were auctioned off by his by his heirs. I was lucky enough to win the card collection and several other incredible lots however, I would rather have my friend of 20 years Gary, he was truly one of a kind, "Da Gizmo"!!!. The previous pic of card collection is from my garage after being removed from Gary's place and trucked back up to Central City.
A pic Gary back in the HEYDAY of chip collecting and Gary and I a year before he passed.
