Those Luxor boats were novel, but not practical. When checking in, you could opt to take the boat to the other side, diagonally, then get off and take "inclinators" up to your room. Luggage arrived separately via bellhop. Fun for the first time, but you soon discovered you could walk that distance faster than the boat ride!I seem to recall the boat driver had a spiel about the Luxor during the trip, like doing the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland.
Anyway, I remembered a few VHS videotapes I bought over the years -- The first 2 are about making Luxor and making MGM. The other 2 are just compilations of Las Vegas "Yesterday and Today". I don't have a VHS player anymore, but have thought about getting them duplicated onto DVDs, if that's permissible re copyright?
