try and expand all communities possible. Jerry is working very hard and I think he and many of his board and many awesome volunteers deserves a lot of credit. He seems to care quite a bit about the direction of the hobby. The same old - same old is just not working.
Going back to my original post to Rene and Oscar. The chip collecting has slowed down and new ideas are needed as I discussed many of these ideas that I did with Rene on his Side Bet podcast on YouTube a a couple of weeks ago. I believe my ideas would help the hobby considerably.Cheryl and I haven’t spoken to one collector or one dealer who is more enthusiastic about the hobby now then they were five years ago.
We are on a decline. It’s that simple and we can watch the ship sink or we can try to give this hobby a much needed boost. Of course that is much easier said than done because it takes hard work and volunteers and that is not easy to achieve. So the ones that do want to try, I say go for it, and I hope nobody will stand in their way. There is no better ingredient for success than momentum and passion. We have none of that to speak of if we get some creativity and helpful ideas flowing Cheryl and I believe we can get this thing going again. As it stands now, we just do this as a small hobby to keep some great relationships going and sell some chips on eBay. The magic and passion is gone so if that happened to us you can only imagine what happened too many others. All the best.
Cheers 🍻
