New Info re: Riviera "Gamblers Action Spree Chip"

chips.

These 2 chips (courtesy Chip Guide) were recently shown to a Facebook Group of former Riviera employees, asking for any information about useage of these chips at the Riviera.

The following COMMENT is now added to ChipGuide for both of these chips:

Gambler's Spree Action Chip. Based on information acquired from former Riviera employee (Cindy Bennett) "Gambler's Spree Action Chip" chips were used as part of a Riviera Junket Program. The Gamblers Spree was a junket program sold to people mostly on the East Coast. They would come in groups together. They paid a certain amount for the junket and would receive these chips to gamble with along with a room, food and airfare. Bennett worked doing Spree junket check-ins, recalling that it was in 1994 and 1995. The Riviera had been doing them for several years prior. Bennett was a Casino Marketing Representative at that time. Gaming junkets had been around since the 70's. This same chip was brought out from the depths of the Riviera's vault in December of 2012, for use in the Riviera's implementation of the WIN CARDS Program.

This is a framed set of items received when buying in to the WIN CARDS Promotion.
