$39 for members at Carter, I'm on the mailing list, that's weekdays. Yes, the rates have gone up. Some of the getaway packages cost more than just a members rate. Carter for example: The Escape Package Weekday | Sunday–Thursday | $150 = One night stay for two + $60 Reward Play. Standard is $150, so free play is nice. But for $59 which is with the upgrade, double King, we are paying $30 less, to skip the free play.

Some weekend specials are 1,000 points, same day, and get a free room, for one night. Maybe I'm just too cheap, but last visit, I played 50¢ to $1 from 6PM until 10PM and barely made it to 600 points.

I've never been to the casinos in the NW corner of the state. And last I went to the slot joints at the gas stations, was when they still had tokens.

I will say, the quality of the buildings and the food, has gone up over the years. Also the atmosphere at most of them, is friendlier.

If I'm anywhere near a casino and on the road, that's where I'll take the extra time to go to one of the cafe's in a casino.
