I find it more than a little disturbing that anybody would be happy not to have (or be able) to vote ever again. All good and well if it’s your party but would you be just as happy if it was the “other side?” I think not.
There doesn’t seem to be a perfect way to decide elections as neither side would ever want anything changed unless it was to their advantage which is understandable.
It seems that the popular vote usually favours the Dems whilst the Electoral College usually leans towards the GOP.
What with voter suppression, gerrymandering (redistricting/redrawing etc), voter intimidation and the many ways that are used to manipulate the figures and results it probably doesn’t matter which system is used anyway.
And then there’s the dead people, illegal immigrants and multiple votes from people to take into account (I jest, there is no credible proof that any of those allegations are true and they are very rare but people can die after voting for instance) so have they ever been a fair reflection of is it just the last 3 elections?
And then there's alleged foreign interference (including asking for help), disinformation and misinformation to contend with too.
We can’t forget votes being sent to satellites, on to Italy, changed and sent back. Or voting machines that have been hacked (although never being online, allegedly). Plus, there’s Victor Chevez and ballot dumping, obviously. And then there’s the Jewish Space Lazers! Oh no, sorry, that’s the weather. I got lost in the conspiracy theories for a second.
Funnily enough, John Oliver (somebody that I doubt many watch as he’s not on Fox) did a programme about elections and showed how easily you could hack into a voting machine within 10 minutes and change the votes so watch it, I don’t think it “favours” either side and is just about the US election system and his team due their due diligence with their research.
Obviously, this is fake news but hey, indulge yourself.

Regardless of who runs (or indeed, wins) it should be done in a fair way as written in the Constitution.
Just my 2 pennies worth and I’m not having a go at anybody, just stating an opinion.
Enjoy your day.
