We went to five casinos, 8+ hours, 227 miles and it was a good time. Three offered $20 in play and two had $15. Top deal was a tie, Menominee Keshena where I got a free chicken dinner and $20 in play. But really, $15 or $20 anywhere without the chicken, is pretty good. That pays for the gas. Pottawatomie Carter, $20 and a pulled pork sandwich.
Carter is our favorite now. I had a $39 room for Monday, nice off prime day. For $20 we got the pool wing with a patio. Mind you, Northwoods Wisconsin in November, patio, at 40 degrees is daytime. But it's still nice to have the option to sit and watch the Sunset, and the patio rooms are on the pool wing.
Chips: nothing new that I saw anywhere. So much for that. Oneida Green Bay had baccarat. That's odd. Mole Lake, looks like the old chips are back.
Player cards, I'm impressed. Three years ago, maybe four, one casino had a Vets card, then another, and now four. The whole idea of the Veteran's day loop is day off, free lunch, check out the casinos and have some fun. This is the first year that I stayed the night, which made it less of a rush and less stress, trying to make it to five casinos and then drive back home.
Yes, that's my dog tags and a "lucky" charm collection.
