The ChipGuide just recently (about two weeks ago) added a new "Plain (Die Cut)" category. The old "Crest and Seal" category was renamed "Plain (Crest & Seal). We (the ChipGuide admins) are slowly moving the Die Cut chips from the Plain category into the new category.

Die Cut chips are typically defined as chips that that use a shaped inlay (celluloid, metal, etc.) and the body of the chip, to create a design. The chips Fred have posted would probably fit into the new Die Cut category.
