Yes, Alzheimer's is a nasty one. My mother suffered with it for around 10 years. She eventually believed her son was Luciano Pavarotti and told everyone at the nursing home that it was so. Which is passingly amusing. Had the staff asked me to sing an aria or something, they would have been in for a surprise.
