Good Question
In Response To: The T-K in TK Specialty ? ()

The patent for the mold was filed by Walter W. Taylor and Leo McMenemy in 1948.

In Kansas City and Reno directories, the company was listed as owned by Walter W. Taylor and Leo McMenemy in the 1950s and 1960s in Kansas City, and the same two in the early 1970s in Reno. According to Taylor's 1977 obituary, the company dates to 1939.

So the "T" might be Taylor, but I have no idea what the "K" could be. Taylor might have had a different partner when the company was founded.

Inquiring minds would like to know.
