Jerry, I enjoyed the fall show a few weeks ago & came home with some good stuff. Everything was casino-related in my case, but I did visit with 4-5 of the sellers with non-casino items (and some had both casino & non-casino stuff). The "Duke of Fremont Street" is fun to chat with; the guy with antique mechanical items was interesting too. Others didn't have what I was looking for, but I hope they had a productive (profitable) show with other customers.
It seemed to me that about 80% of the fall show was casino-related sellers, and 20% other. Sounds about right to you?
But with the larger sq. ft. room that you will have, and the joint coordination with the LV Bottle club, and especially with the addition of sports/other cards & comics (frequently they are standalone shows!), how much of the spring 2025 show floor & dealers will be casino-related? Down to 60%, 50%, lower?
I know it's early, and contracts haven't been signed yet, but what's your objective, if I can inquire? What's your assessment of the blending of non-casino items/sellers with casino-related items/sellers? Were the non-casino sellers happy with their results?
(I'm not trying to get you to reveal any trade secrets here. Just curious about this "mixed" format for future shows, as you envision it. In the abstract, I can see both upsides & downsides. It can depend on how it's executed.)
Thanks for your response.
