There was an earlier Reno show, cuz I went there! Maybe 6-7 years back. I went looking for bricks in the northeast part of the city beside an old railroad track. Didn't find much. I noticed a big, black cloud sliding over which meant my brick-hunt would soon be flooded out, and realized it was time for the chip show! Drove back to the University of Nevada where their astronomy department had lost a moon. Or a telescope, I cannot recall which. The show was in a small building beside Virginia Street and I found the last open space in the parking lot. Went in and immediately heard a tremendous thunderclap.
"Ah-ha, they found the moon!"
Not a huge show, but a nice one with plenty of chips to view. When I came out a few hours later, the parking lot was wet but the storm had passed. Rain in Reno!!
I think Raulin Mendonca also attended, as did Howdy Herz, and they can probably corroborate the Missing Moon Story.
Hey, c'mon now, would I be making all this up with such vivid facts?
