As I wrote back then, "I'm not saying it's not worth doing." I just said I couldn't figure out why this one thing was worth so many posts about. That they are doing it does not in any way prove anything I wrote in May was wrong.
If they end up being very successful and signing up a significant number of new members, you will be proven right and I will admit it was a very good idea. And, I will be happy for the club. I am glad someone is giving it a try, but I remain skeptical that it will change much. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be done, but your posts were still way over the top. Make your point and move on.
I would never have discussed any of this again but you called me out on a more than 4-month old post which still hasn't been shown to be incorrect about anything. And I am pretty sure it was the only post I made on the subject (to how many of yours?).
At some point, most of the significant volunteers in the CCA get tired of people criticizing all of the time but never stepping up to do anything about it. That's what prompted my earlier post. Good for Barry and others to be doing this (thank you!). I understand you have medical issues that may not allow you to get involved, but the fact remains that it's easier to criticize and complain than to actually do anything about it.
