Re: UK plaques. Part 2 (b) - Le Cercle.

Only 100 made of the £1000 and almost all are in awful condition but this one is passable. It is also seen on the Bond table in the film but you only if you know where to look and were unknown until the "find" in 2019. You only know they are there due to now knowing that they existed in 1961.

Not seen in the film and when I managed to get information about the others, they weren't mentioned. BetG were reluctant to tell me anything but as I knew the numbers made and a couple of other things about the 1961 ones, they kindly confirmed my suspicions. There are 3 types of this plaque (all are on the guide so I won't bore you with any more talking about them).

Funnily enough, this didn't come with the others and is the only one known at this time. It seems that somebody's Grandfather was a contractor at the club when it was being dismantled after it was closed down and took 3 plaques (£1,000, £5,000 and the £10,000) but I was lucky enough to buy them.

These were the last type made (in 1978) for Le Cercle before it closed and only 40 were made of the £10,000 and 20 of the £20,000. There are 2 lower denominations but again, not as lovely as these are.

There are 2 other plaques that I now have that are rare but I showed them not long ago so the post is still available to see if interested.

There are also others from the club but I feel that these are the best ones and don't wish to overload you with too many so...........
