Re: UK plaques. Part 2 (a) - Le Cercle.

Obviously, these were going to get an honourable mention as they are the best ones I have.
I won't bore you with all of the information that is known about them but suffice to say, they are all beautiful and deserve to be seen again.

Quick facts, As seen in the 1962 James Bond film "Dr No," 300 x £50s made in 1961, a perfect one (most are "ruined" although they were in the same boxes) and a strikingly gorgeous plaque. Most of the best ones have tiny scratches through use but overall, pretty much perfect considering their age and what they have been through (bad storage for over 27 years in a barn).
Nobody knows which were seen onscreen (not EON or Les A) and they were also seen in "A hard day's night" filmed in 1964.

200 x £100s made in 1961, again an absolutely perfect one and the main attraction in the Bond film.

Only 100 made in 1961, perfect again but when they go "nasty," boy do they smell bad. Formaldehyde/ammonia I assume.
2 were seen in front of Bond in the film but there are a couple more on the table if you look closely.

These are the main 3 of the set so I won't bother with the £5 or £10 but the £1000 will be in the next post.
Sorry for the slightly blurred photos but it doesn't detract from the beauty of them.

Thanks for looking and hope they are worth your time.
