Coin and Casino collectors

Lets go back some roughly 60 years. I like many, started collecting coins as a wee lad. Like many it was going through rolls of cents (pennies) to fill blue Whitman books. Well now lets fast forward and I still like to roll search from time to time just for fun. I was looking through some rolls of quarters the other day. Why, just because and hoping with a bunch of luck maybe a silver quarter would be there. Yes, I know those days are pretty much way behind us roll hunters.

But......always a but it seems. First we look at the edge of a roll to see if something pops out. Often it can be a quarter from Canada which are nothing burgers. Well this time the edge just look weird and thinner than a normal quarter. With closer examination it ends up being a sterling silver token from the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas. And something I had no idea even existed. It is just a tad larger than a quarter but fits in a roll easily. And like I like to do I check the guide and sure enough, it's not listed. But will be as soon as I take the time to post it there.

Been a great week for finding good stuff for me.

Enjoy, Dennis

Anyone remember Harry Mack ???
