Yes because newsletters are usually pretty long, you have to click on something in the email to open the newsletter itself (often a PDF).

Thanks for pointing out that weird text. It's boilerplate text that the tool we use (Constant Contact) puts into emails templates. It actually shouldn't be there, we will remove it before the next Newsletter.

Any links that are included in emails from the Club (direct Member emails like what was sent today, Newsletter, etc.) are safe.

But in general you are right to be very cautious with links in emails you don't expect.
