I was returning from work on my motorcycle some years ago, going down Coldwater Canyon Road. Coming into Studio City, around a very severe curve, I spotted a chip beside the roadway. But I could not stop to investigate, what with a line of cars behind me. This went on for a week or two. The chip was still there, mocking me. One afternoon, when there were no cars directly behind me, I made up my mind to stop. Even that was not easy, as the motorcylce was teetering on the uneven pavement. So, steadying the bike with one hand, I bent over to snatch the chip. What treasure could it be? A white Graves chip, of which I already had several examples. Made it back onto my Honda and brought it home. Hey, poker chips are where you find 'em!
A lucky Friday the 13th, everyone!
