Over the last couple of months "Tons" of previously know and unknow old and new Mirage Roulette chips have appeared on Ebay. The Mirage closed on July 17th but the Roulette chips started appearing for sale around the last week in June = about 3 weeks before the Casino closed. Over the last 2 months, Roulette chips by the 100s have been offered for sale by numerous sellers on Ebay ( around 10 or 12 different sellers).
My question is - Where did all these chips come from before and after the closing date of July 17th ?? As far as I know there was no public sale of these chips by the Mirage.
Roulettes are considered "No Cash Value" chips and they were probably not destroyed when the Mirage closed but how did they find their way on the open market ??
Since I specialize in collecting Roulette chips I am very curious about the origin of these Roulette chips.
Also "No Cash Value" Tournament chips from the Mirage have been offered for sale.
If anyone has any info on how all these Roulette/ NCV chips got on to the market - please LMK.
Take care,
Jerry
