UK - New find.

I'd heard that Maxims had been rebranded as Palacegate Casino but I hadn't been able to confirm.
Seems Genting sold it in 2019 and it went into receivership on 13th October 2021 but it has been renamed by the new owners before closing.

No idea why it has 1864 in Roman numerals as it wasn't built until 1896 (finished 1898) and the architect was only born in 1863. This is according to that well known site that begins with a W although another source states it was built in 1862! And that was the Heritage site (well, I think it was but have looked at so many different sites I may have mixed it up but pretty sure it was).

I've seen a few chips from there now too (£100, £1000, £5000 and 2 colour chips).
I started to ask around to see who made the plaques so I could confirm that they are genuine but then had the "bright" idea of using a UV light which showed an M at the bottom right so I'm hoping that they were made by Matsui. I've emailed them to see if they can provide more information but not holding my breath.
These should be on the guide tomorrow and I'll get the others on there sometime soon.
Hope somebody enjoys the photos at least, if not the writing.
