And the Hat & Cane is awful

on that mold. There are way to many differences on the plastic chips from china to be fooled.

1. There is either No inlay or if the hybrid version an awful sticker as an inlay.
2. There is an OBVIOUS plastic injection molding "tit" on the chips edge.
3. The base chip is printed on a white plastic or as some call it "ceramic" blank. The color will scratch off easily.
4. The Hat and Cane on the plastics is mis shaped and obvious.
5. The edges of the chips are a "beveled" shape, not sharp like Paulsons.
6. The sound of the plastics is way different than clay.

These obvious flaws occur in all the china replica molds and are very easy to identify.

There is a first seen attempt at a "clay" version of chips, they are on a mold with a phoenix depicted and the sticker says Phoenix Card room. They are sub standard and even more easily identified but knowing china they will get better.

an article on the "Tina" replicas is slated for the inaugural issue of the PokerChipper news letter this winter (2024) stay tuned.

The intent of all these chips and molds is so that sets collectors can have and play with ultra rare chips as a set not to deceive buyers on eBay. As I've said before if you cannot easily identify these replicas this may not be the right hobby to be in. Yes thats how easy it is to tell.
