Just for reference, the chip is listed in the "Advertiser" category on MOGH/ChipGuide at:
http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=CALA1S&v=1583077065
That page shows the reverse side, which says "1984 Summer Games USA, Los Angeles, California / Las Vegas, Nevada". Refers to the Olympics, held in & around greater Los Angeles that summer... but Olympics is a copyrighted name, so it's called "Summer Games" instead, much like the Super Bowl is called "The Big Game" or similar names.
For info on the 1984 Summer Olympics, see Wikipedia entry at:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_Summer_Olympics
The story I've heard is that some entity in Las Vegas (perhaps LVCVA: Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority?) had these made to promote Olympic-bound tourists to visit Las Vegas before/during/after attending the Olympics in LA.
(I've also heard that Las Vegas was offering hotel rooms to stay at, because greater LA hotel rooms were hard to come by during the Olympics. Not so sure about that angle, even though it was congested then. I was living in the LA area at the time, and yes it was crowded. People were leasing their homes to visitors for good money then, but LV to LA is a half-day each way to travel!)
Anyway, Paulson made these H&C chips for someone. I have seen the chip available at chip shows. Even a box(es) of them at dealer tables(s) at chips shows some years back. Regardless, it is a good looking chip, IMO.
Hope that helps.
