Is this something new or something I never paid attention to before.

Lets say you are going to sell a chip on E Bay, but first you look at other chips to see what they are selling for. Now you put it up for sale. When you look at your live ad as you scroll down under the picture it shows similar items and if you keep scrolling people see what you also looked at.
