The Gold Coast chip show is Friday-Saturday (Sept 20-21).

But the next day, Sunday (Sept 22) is Panthers-Raiders, at home in Las Vegas (afternoon game).

It's Week 3 of the regular NFL season, but Raiders are on the road in Weeks 1 & 2. So all the Raiders fans will be in town for their first HOME game of the season.

I agree, even the discounted rates are a bit pricy for the Gold Coast, but it's probably true for most places that weekend.
