I figured there had to be a good reason or two, but I had no clue what they were. I've seen US/Canada border casinos with multiple chips depending on which currency you were using, US or CAD. I asked a question about large denomination sports book NCV chips, and that made sense, so big gamblers on long trips only got one tax form instead of fifty. That Carribean casinos would have denominated roulette, or certain table games with alternate chips, those all make sense too once explained.

Oh, and that third Alhambra $5 chip posted above. It does not exist. It is a crappy awful scan of one of the other two chips, submitted somewhere by somebody who did absolutely zero favors to the hobby by uploading such a deceptive color-does-not-match-reality-at-all scan.
