Re: Question for Casino Players Card Users..

During the convention at South Point, we received less in comps this year as opposed to others while my wife & I played the same amount of time and same bettting. Here is what I found out...

I played 5 nights out of 6 night at tables as I rarely play slots, I have a credit line there and every night, I get a "Marker" at the tables of $600 to start my evening. If I break even or win, I will buy my marker back for the $600 I borrowed right at the table. It goes in their books as a win and I only get a little credit for time played. If I lose and can't buy it back, it goes down as a loss and I get more comps for it. For my wife, she usually goes through $100 a day at the slots and does sometimes wins, she also plays bingo 4-5 times at $50 each and that counts in addition.

From now on, I will be pocketing my winnings as I play and never buy my markers back after coloring up, therefor I have a bigger loss to them. I will go to cage and pay for all markers at end of trip.

This year, we were comped only 1 night and all our food bought there for our play. Last year, we won more money but entire hotel stay was comped and was told by our casino host that we should be putting all our food on the room account so they could have covered more.

Learning as we go!
