May I add, the manufacturing cost can increase significantly if there is a low mintage. Cost of art work can also make a significant difference. This cost is offset by making larger orders and higher denominations. By the way, this is one of the reasons i wrote the article “ Under Appreciated”. Low mintage chips equate to higher manufacturing/art costs. This is why i believe “ LE’s with mintages of 100 or less are very collectable” as most casinos had mintages ranging from 500 to 5000.
