Thanks Al, I read through the article. It indeed mentions an illegal gambling place called Sahara Amusement Center among several other Amusement Centers. However based on what the police seized, I see no proof of table games or chips having been used there, in fact it seems like they were just running slots.

As I own some of these chips and am probably the source for the one submitted to the Chip Guide, I'm going to say I still think the chips are most likely fantasy chips and listing them as illegals without further proof would be a mistake. The name does not match the place in the article (Amusement Center vs. Amusement Casino) and it does look like that place didn't even use chips. Also, I believe these chips to be considerably older than the events in said article, and they are Bud Jones so in more recent times an illegal gaming operation would not have been able to even purchase them.
