Not sure if Charles has already provided an update here or not (I haven't scrolled through all the new posts), but he's trying vigilantly to figure out why the server load keeps creeping up, which causes the site to stop serving pages/images. There also appears to be one or more "runaway processes" (not a great definition) internally that is/are adding to the load.

In any case, until all these oddities are resolved, the Chip Guide may behave erratically. If you're getting errors or things just seem out of sorts, just ignore it for now as it is likely to be a result of trial and error in debugging. With the holiday over, I'll see what I can glean tomorrow (if I don't go golfing by accident).
