I've had good luck with Kayak. Several months ago I put in my airports (EWR and LAS) and my dates and Kayak sent me nearly daily reports on flight price changes. Suddenly there was a $250 deal with United. I jumped on it and paid another $100 for my one bag and to get a window seat.
