The site compares the flights based on emissions with the intension of making people think they are helping the planet?

But me choosing the lower emission flight isn't preventing the other flights from flying. They still are using up all that carbon regardless of my choice.

I guess the reasoning is if EVERYONE based their decision on the environmental best choice, the other flights would be empty and they would cancel. Or they wouldn't be as full and would be forced to change in order to compete?

Seems a bit naive. Surely travel is based on convenient times and prices, not environmental impact. Or am I just part of the reason the earth is burning up?
