Hey Roy, these chips aren't just guilty by association.
In 1938, Charles Carr ordered hub molds with that custom die and had them delivered to the address of the Mecca Club. At the time, I think it was going by the Carr Bros Cafe, but a few years later I see "Mecca Club" being used with all kinds of gambling issues. It could have been used prior.
Even though he ordered hubs, he would have owned the die and could have them used for other chips. I have seen many times where the same custom mold was used with different chip manufacturers.
In my opinion, both the yellow and brown S-molds belong to Carr's club in Kentucky.
