For me.....a very odd auction

I've been collecting old Las Vegas No Cash Value chips for a long time and have never seen this Park 100 NCV chip before. So the seller puts up five of them on eBay in five separate auctions. All auctions starting at $5.00 and are still at $5.00 just before the auction end times. Odd to me that there is only one bid on one of the chips. All five auctions closed within 8 minutes of each other (about 3:50 PM EDT today.) Now I really want this chip but only one of them. Are there just these five? Is there a box or boxes? I usually snipe. It's simple and I like the discipline. I put in my best bid and what happens happens. But I don't want to set up five snipes especially with a high maximum (say $75) in case someone else has the same plan. So I'm going to do each auction manually. First time in years. The first auction I want to get an initial idea of what's going to happen so I put in a bid of $7.77 expecting not to win. I lose but the winning bid is only $8.00. That was surprising. So I bid $8.88 for the next chip and won at $8.50 so I'm done and happy. The next three chips sold between $7.77 and $8.50. ( I feel like I overpaid by 73 cents.) Obviously this was very low stakes drama but it seemed more like playing poker than being at an auction. Interesting seller strategy. Obviously I'm grateful to the seller for the information and personally enjoyed the unusual bidding process. Thought I'd share the story.
