Some recent “Chip Trips” and new $1 traders...

During the first week in July, I drove down to visit the Catawba Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. They’ve been open for several years,
but previously were a “slots only” property. Table games were introduced a few weeks ago and Two Kings is using durable metal core chips similar to the ones
in play at the Fountainebleau in Las Vegas.

On a lovely summer day in mid-July, I traveled north on I-95 for my first trip in several years to Atlantic City. The target was Bally’s AC where commemorative
Chinese New Year “Year of the Dragon” chips are to be found mixed in with regular $1 issues on the tables. The casino was relatively quiet at 10 in the morning,
so I was able to harvest a few of these.

And just last week my wife and I flew to Spokane for a week-long stay at a horse ranch in the mountains near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Before driving to the
ranch we had a day and night in Spokane and decided to visit some of the area casinos. The farthest afield was Mistequa Casino in Chewelah, Washington.
A bit of a drive from Spokane, but the scenery along the way was spectacular and we enjoyed seeing this out-of-the-way tribal property.
