My dice storage system.

Hey Pam, sad to see those relics deteriorate like that. Not sure what can stop it? I have been collecting Colorado dice since 2009 when craps was introduced to this market. I am assuming that dice produced in the past couple of decades are not susceptible to the type of deterioration you're experiencing, (that is my hope anyways!!!) I was keeping my dice in a rectangular shadow box, but I have since outgrown those. I found these 12x12x1" deep plastic boxes on Amazon that are made for 12x12 paper storage for scrapbookers. I first put a piece of acid free matte board in the bottom of the box and then cut artist quality foamcore to separate the rows. I have tried to collect the full sticks but, in some cases, I only have the pair, so I cut small pieces (the size of three dice) to keep anything from moving around when you're handling the box. I was pretty pleased with the outcome, and it's a good way for long-term storage that doesn't take up too much room and it's easy to view the collection. I have three of these cases and I'm pretty confident that I have one of the best collections of the Colorado dice (135 examples) as not many are or have collected them over the past 16 years and so far, I do not see signs of discoloration or deterioration, and I hope that remains the case. Best of luck on your project, Eric
